On Niche Marketing - How to Build Your Online VRE Empire
Oh, the keys to success. Seems that for most, they either have too many keys on the key ring, or they are trying to pick the locks. It’s not always easy setting aside the time to build an internet business, considering that trying to rank for exposure on just one keyword term can take potentially months.
While there are shortcuts that many hold closely-guarded and consider super private lest they spill their secrets…and potentially lose their own foothold in the internet marketing scene, there exists still a basic formula that will stand the test of time. This goes for any person looking to diversify and create a little empire for themselves. It’s still possible, in fact, even more so now that many folks are going online and get what they need for the cheapest price. No matter what market you choose to work in, online or off, it’s all about giving your audience what they are looking for. Easier said than done? Not necessarily.
When you hear the word market research, does that scare you? Well it scared me when I first started blogging and niche marketing. Yet, it doesn’t have to be that way once you know how. First question to ask is the simplest … what’s already selling? What’s hot? What are people currently searching for? Think about some of the biggest websites like amazon.com for example, what sells best? Here’s an important point: how many reviews are being given on particular products as compared to others? Much about creating a private niche empire is just common sense marketing. Of course, having some tools helps!
For example, after you’ve found a niche that’s hot, you can use Google’s own keyword tool. Just type in ‘Google keyword tool’ in Google and you’ll see which keywords are being searched for. This is where common sense marketing kicks in again. Look at the keywords for your niche…which ones sound like buying keywords? Sort your search by approximate monthly search volume. You want to look for the most traffic to a particular keyword, and compare it with results in Google. How should you do this correctly? You need to put the keyword in quotes "keyword" and search to get the accurate number of results.
Once you have a list, you can search for an appropriate affiliate product that meets the needs of the buyers for that niche. As you may well know, there are thousands of products to choose from. If you don’t think the sales letter of a product suits the buyers for that keyword, then write your own pre-sell or ’squeeze’ page for the product, collect the emails (preferably using double opt-in to avoid SPAM complaints), and watch carefully as you see the statistics from your marketing efforts increase. These people may be potentially interested in other products relating to that niche as well.
Testing is very important. If you are placing an ad, write 2 and take the best performer. If you are using Google, don’t forget to choose in campaign settings, ‘rotate ads evenly’. You want to see an unbiased performance of each ad so you can safely scale upwards later. You don’t have to throw a lot of money into it. Just take the proven performers and go to big networks and banner exchanges later for instant money. Rinse and repeat for each niche, diversify your private niche empire and make the money you deserve!
